What was said by Duke Orsino in “Twelfth Night” is as true today as it has always been — and almost nothing adds more pleasure to a great event than well-selected, wonderfully performed music. And unless you’ve heard them for yourself, it’s hard to imagine how lovely the acoustics are in the Sanctuary.
The sound experience in the Sanctuary is exceptional — we receive praise all the time about how rich and broad it is. But it’s not for everyone: Because of the massive vaulted wood ceilings a little sound goes a long way; you won’t need an amplifier or a 20-piece band (but both are acceptable, of course)!
For ceremonies, banquets and cocktail events, we always advise guests to err on the side of intimate music played by musicians who know how to adapt their playing to this unique environment.
